First, to be aware of the rules of this community. Just in case.
Second, to just leave women the hell alone at night unless it’s a real emergency. If a rando approaches me when I’m alone at night, I’m not thinking he needs help, I get ready to fight. That’s an exhausting state to be in, so he better have a damn good excuse for talking to me.
I think that it is not quite enough and not a useful advice because of that, i.e. what is fine as a man to man interaction may feel offensive for man to woman one
What is the best thing for a guy to do in that scenario? Truthful, honest question.

Aye, I have seen things pop up on this community but not posted. Just felt this was important to ask.
So if we’re walking opposite directions on the sidewalk, just continue looking ahead and give a bit of a berth
Feel free to post this as an ask lemmy and refrain from posting here if you want a deeper discussion.
Treat her like a damned human and don’t do anything you wouldn’t do to a man
The advice is literally to leave women alone at night. There’s not much wiggle room there to be confused about to be honest.
Ask yourself “what would i do if she were a guy?”

Would you approach a man alone at night.
Answer the question on the face
Preferably not, but I wouldn’t avoid them or try to make them comfortable
Edit: come to think of it, it really depends on how that man looks and behaves
Really?
No, most people wouldn’t approach another person alone at night.
This isn’t a gotcha question. Leave women alone.
Lol, as if I’m stalking people at night
Women who cross your path don’t know if you are or not.
That’s why I said I wouldn’t avoid men [unlike women], that’s the difference
