I mentioned the Steele dossier as an example of BlueQ/BlueAnon conspiracy theory, but you a clearly believing at least some version of ‘russiagate’:

Do you know of Trump and Putin meeting in Alaska August 15, 2025 - their long-standing mutual admiration? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2025_Russia–United_States_summit

I mentioned several times in my comment the private jet flight on November 8, 2013 - which comes before the “that article about Putin from 2013” - have you studied the flight records and owner of the private jet?

Timing. November 8, 2013 weekend Trump goes to Moscow. December 2013, the linked article discusses new International movement and “Call to power” all across the world. February 20, 2014 is when the Ukraine hot war started. After the softening up (of minds on WWW) by the Internet Research Agency almost all of year 2013.

The December 20, 2013 article starts “Vladimir Putin is calling on the conservatives of the world to unite — behind him.” - Do you understand that Donald Trump is a world leader conservative?

If not what did you mean to imply by all that if not ‘Trump is working with/for Putin’?

What did you mean to imply by all that if not ‘Trump is working with/for Putin’?

      What I mean to imply

      1. App users are low-information voters. Year 1991 terminology https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Low_information_voter

      2. USA population has come to fill their minds with memes and fiction entertainment

      3. Donald Trump is an entertainer.

      4. Donald Trump is easily influenced and gullible. He believes fiction storytelling put out by the Kremlin

      5. Donald Trump is not very smart. And We The People on meme apps are not very smart.

      6. The entire USA society (We The People) avoid facts, timelines, details in favor of dumb memes and ignorance.

This is a shit-posting nation who is addicted to Rupert Murdoch media, Elon Musk Twitter thinking patterns, and prizes knowledge about Sponge Bob, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and Donald Trump is a fantasy fiction storyteller who entertains We The People with Truth Social memes (fiction content).

USA was not this ignorant before July 6, 2011 https://theoutline.com/post/2445/trump-s-first-real-tweet-was-on-july-6-2011 - now everyone celebrates ignorance. Dr. Bandy X Lee’s 27 leaders have been ignored by We The People since year 2017. Instead people are learning more about Spider-Man and sports baseball players. Trump is a celebrity television entertainer.

Yep some app users aren’t very smart for sure.

Some haven’t even considered that not every user is a yanqui for example.

Donald Trump is easily influenced and gullible. He believes fiction storytelling put out by the Kremlin

True but he also believes the last person he spoke to not just Putin exclusively, he believes the fiction put out by the UAF and his own government

True, what’s your prescription for the problem? I’m guessing anything other than socialist organising and eventual revolution?

Dr. Bandy X Lee’s 27 leaders have been ignored by We The People since year 2017.

Some haven’t even considered that not every user is a yanqui for example.

Yes, they do consider it. World Wide Web, TCP/IP is everywhere. But you think tiny-short commenting messages (anti-book) should focus on banal and unimportant superficial aspects instead of the serious problem of USA being a mob mentality nation (since July 6, 2011 or June 16 Bloomsday 2015 depending on measure) ready to wreck the entire world. for laughs and memes. Shit-commenting mockery social values.

To you, everything is Lemmy commenting in the moment, fixated on your target fixation. The crisis is the forest, not me the tree.

The Emperor Has No Clothes and We The People are laughing non-stop, amused and joking endlessly in feedback loops at the naked emperor. The blind faith that the entire world is adopting that sarcasm, satire, mocking, mockery will always fix problems. The never-questioned religion of meme faiths, always more LOL mockery.

Who is prepared to take arms against a sea of amusements? To whom do we complain, and when, and in what tone of voice, when serious discourse dissolves into giggles? What is the antidote to a culture’s being drained by laughter?” ― Neil Postman, Amusing Ourselves to Death: Public Discourse in the Age of Show Business.

I’m just trying to get direct answer to my questions I’ve put to you. you seem to think I won’t notice the deflection if you post enough tangential information.

To you, everything is Lemmy commenting in the moment, fixated on your target fixation. The crisis is the forest, not me the tree.

Why do you think this about me specifically?

The blind faith that the entire world is adopting that sarcasm, satire, mocking, mockery will always fix problems.

So you’re not even reading my responses in whole, I’ve put forward concrete actions to reverse the anti-intellectualism. You keep posting appeals to authority and no actual plans of actions, beyond magical thinking.

You keep posting appeals to authority

That’s your thought-terminating cliche phrase. “Appeal to authority” magic words nullifies experts. Stephen Alfred Gutknecht quoted Neil Postman books from year 1985, so can’t listen to matching ideas, because the magic phrase “appeal to authority” nullifies it! Stephen Gutknecht appealed to books printed on paper and not screen-game interactive commenting! That nullifies ideas!

Obey me, I command you, the Lemmy servers direct your mind. Active measures. Anti-free thinking. You want reactions to your comments. As my Lemmy profile clearly says: “War and Peace in the Global Village” book by Marshall McLuhan is my subject focus here. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_and_Peace_in_the_Global_Village Almost everything I share is related to University of Toronto teachings of media ecology (Lemmy is media systems).

I consider Marshall McLuhan, Neil Postman, and Dr. Bandy X Lee to be the elephants in the room (the teachers, educators, everyone is avoiding). My Lemmy profile makes no secret of my addressing the media and not just low-effort commenting as entertainment amusement at Donald Trump for laughs.

True, what’s your prescription for the problem?

halt all entertainment. Reminder: this Lemmy posting is about Las Vegas, slot machines. Which is why I brought up Trump, MAGA, Trumpism as an associated topic. Looping entertainment.

          • “We like to think of ourselves as immune from influence or our cognitive biases, because we want to feel like we are in control, but industries like alcohol, tobacco, fast food, and gaming all know we are creatures that are subject to cognitive and emotional vulnerabilities. And tech has caught on to this with its research into “user experience,” “gamification,” “growth hacking,” and “engagement” by activating ludic loops and reinforcement schedules in the same way slot machines do. So far, this gamification has been contained to social media and digital platforms, but what will happen as we further integrate our lives with networked information architectures designed to exploit evolutionary flaws in our cognition? Do we really want to live in a “gamified” environment that engineers our obsessions and plays with our lives as if we are inside its game?” ― Christopher Wylie, Mindf*ck: Cambridge Analytica and the Plot to Break America, chapter 12 “Revelations”, page 235, year 2019

          Same Page, The Same Time

          1. Repeat Dr. Lee’s books, articles and videos

          2. Repeat Marshall McLuhan and Neil Postman

Stop creating new content. Get all on the same page and actually stand up to the feedback looping between We The People and Donald Trump ultra-star entertainer. All get on the same page at the same time and teach cult deprogramming.

Put aside sports, entertainment films, entertainment television, video games, etc. Be serious. Stop the total mockery. Looping of Trump mocking audience and audience mocking Trump. Sober up as a nation. come to terms that Donald Trump was a mistake in year 1985, year 1995, year 2005, year 2015, year 2025. What changed was feedback looping between television news (Fox News), internet culture (July 6, 2011 onward https://theoutline.com/post/2445/trump-s-first-real-tweet-was-on-july-6-2011 ), and Trump is a master of standing in the spotlight of any and all media systems. Face up to media addictions being MAGA Trumpism.

So basically just hoping that the US ruling class will start following the ideas of your favourite psychiatrist?

No, not at all. We The People are drunk on Trump content. Meme drunk nation. We The People need to address media addiction. Neil Postman, Marshall McLuhan, etc. Dr. Bandy X Lee is a leader of 27 people. you mock her as only one person. Your mocking is the problem. Anti-intellectual, Anti-book printed on paper. Lover of Trump mocking tone and anti-learning.

Again: NO, not at all. We the People on meme apps are the crisis. Ignorance. Celebration of Ignorance, celebrating Trump as ignorance laughs. LOL LOL at Trumps mental disorders in waves of electric media feedback looping, constantly waiting on meme apps for the next Trump entertainment stimulation. Every media system of every medium converged into mocking and mockery singularity. Chucklehead nation of meme addicts, age 12 to age 125, all inclusive, voter and nonvoters all anti-intellectual celebrating ignorance.

              Celebration of Ignorance

“Science is more than a body of knowledge; it is a way of thinking. I have a (year 1995) foreboding of an America in my children’s or grandchildren’s time — when the United States is a service and information economy; when nearly all the key manufacturing industries have slipped away to other countries; when awesome technological powers are in the hands of a very few, and no one representing the public interest can even grasp the issues; when the people have lost the ability to set their own agendas or knowledgeably question those in authority; when, clutching our crystals and nervously consulting our horoscopes, our critical faculties in decline, unable to distinguish between what feels good and what’s true, we slide, almost without noticing, back into superstition and darkness. The dumbing down of America is most evident in the slow decay of substantive content in the enormously influential media, the 30-second sound bites (now down to 10 seconds or less), lowest common denominator programming, credulous presentations on pseudoscience and superstition, but especially a kind of celebration of ignorance. As I write, the number-one videocassette rental in America is the movie Dumb and Dumber. “Beavis and Butthead” remain popular (and influential) with young TV viewers. The plain lesson is that study and learning — not just of science, but of anything — are avoidable, even undesirable.” ― Carl Sagan, The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark, 1995, page 59

Again what is you prescription for the probblem, simply stating ‘people need to get of apps and start listening to Dr Lee and her ‘27 leaders’’ is not a solution, what is your solution to achieve this result?

barely related to the current conversation

                  There you go. Mocking.

Nothing stops the mockery. The anti-book on paper mockery that is Trumpism.

What the IRA started in year 2013 is in runaway. Russia can’t stop it. Nothing can stop it. It’s probably already too late. The addiction to entertainment and detachment from humanism is already wrecking all goodness long-term.

(We The) People can no longer read 1995 book and connect that it is directly related to USA national mass mind in year 2025. You are only here to mock away goodness, that’s your agenda and your outcome. And nothing has been able to break the feedback looping of total mockery. Shit-posting is the mindset everyone craves. It’s been non-stop shit-posting growth since July 6, 2011. The Apple iPhone screen size (The Medium) is the meme message of minds.

Your mocking won the wrecking of the world before I ever created a single message on Lemmy. Vince Gilligan in February 2025 at the Writers Guild of America spelled it out: Social media cesspool. Shit-posting shit-commenting always wins. Mocking and mockery, total mockery wins any debate (hence, Trump wins any challenge, Rupert Murdoch wins any adult education, Joe Rogan wins, mockery wins). Carl Sagan book printed in year 1995, Neil Postman books, Dr. Bandy X Lee’s books, always rejected.

there’s no simple answer for how we might change that. Though, if there were, I bet it would have something to do with climbing up out of the cesspool that is social media and actually listening to each other.

                  11:07
But I don’t know how to make that happen. So, I’ll stick to my wheelhouse. As a writer speaking to a room full of writers, I have a proposal…

It not mocking its a fact, gish galloping with page long expects that may have a sentence or two related is not an effective tactic if your actual trying to convert me to your cause and not just intellectually masturbating. If you aren’t anti-intellectual you can take the time to extract the relevant points and present them cogently

What the IRA started in year 2013 is in runaway. Russia can’t stop it. Nothing can stop it. It’s probably already too late. The addiction to entertainment and detachment from humanism is already wrecking all goodness long-term.

Again you seem to place the blame entirely on Russia and discount the effect of the US’s equivalent of the IRA: Eglin AFB and its effect on the population, and other western backed project such as Cambridge Analytica

                    Social media cesspool.

So you’ve somewhat correctly disorganised the problem as big tech(if not capitalism as a whole) the only counter to big tech is socialist organisation a real concrete action you can take instead of just hoping people will magically begin following the ‘27 leaders’ which is just wish-casting on your part, the system cannot be reformed it needed to be smashed and a new bottom-up power structure put in place

True but he also believes the last person he spoke to not just Putin exclusively

My concern is about app users. Not just one single person. But the attraction people have to Donald Trump.

People have massive recency bias in USA. The anti-FAQ anti-Wiki values of constantly scrolling memes that overwrites any sense of self-awareness of media addiction. Teachers like Marshall McLuhan and Neil Postman are forgotten, abandoned, not understood.

Trump is a symptom of app addiction. He is not the cause. The Internet Research Agency triggered a runaway reactionary mindset in the population. I have quoted Carl Sagan’s 1995 book on this page multiple times describing “30 second sound bites”, memes. That is how the mass man of society in USA is now driven. Constantly reacting in shallow superficial ways.

Dr. Bandy X Lee’s 27 leaders since year 2017 being ignored by everyone while all laugh and joke about Donald Trump day and night. People who milk Trump for mental health jokes and memes every hour of every day. Amused, laughing, at an entertainer who is reacting to the waves of crowd emotions. It is a destructive dangerous media feedback loop between audience and performers. (Again, assert Carl Sagan 1995) - the avoidance of Dr. Lee’s leadership since year 2017 is the sober reality outside the screen game feedback looping.
