Look, I’m all for this message, but these probabilities mean nothing without a reference - 1 in 3 of what? Per day for an average woman? Per year? Per encounter?
Especially the per encounter would be funny, since the average person rarely sees a snake, let alone a venomous one. And I imagine women usually meet at least three men a day…

Huh, thanks! Yknow, while this is still a horrible statistic, I’m kind of relieved it’s not 32% a year, that’d amount to a lot higher total
Keep in mind that this only counts the first occurrence. Women in abusive relationships will only count as 1 instance despite experiencing violence and/or sexual assault regularly over a long period of time. This is also likely an underestimate, as not everyone wants to admit that they were the victim of violence, and some of us get gaslit by others so hard that we no longer even believe we’re a victim at all—that it was somehow our fault.
Using probabilities, that would basically lead to 100% of women being assaulted within their lifetime. Its definitely not per year.
In some places it is that high. This is the average world wide.
Without a reference time period we can assume it’s within a lifetime.
