It’s a classic festbier. But I decided to do a decoction for a more toasty flavor. I used SafAle US-05 yeast because I want a clean finish and let the grain shine through.

It was a 12 pound grain bill, so I’m hoping it lands somewhere in the middle between a festbier and marzen.
