It worked for ending South African Apartheid. But the UN has overwhelmingly voted to end the blockaid on Cuba. In conclusion: sovereignty doesn’t make you higher than the UN. But it does make you higher than one country’s deranged fascist leader.
I mean, sanctions and blockaids are an important method of diplomacy (as an alternative to war). It worked for ending South African Apartheid.
But the UN has overwhelmingly voted to end the blockaid on Cuba.
In conclusion: sovereignty doesn’t make you higher than the UN. But it does make you higher than one country’s deranged fascist leader.
