While filling out this survey I noticed this isn’t how I run games at all. Or how I experience playing ttrpgs.
Each of my games and tables works very differently from a playstyle point of view. Do people run all their games the same usually?
Like realism vs drama, that is a system and table question, not a how do you run your games in general question. If you run a Masks game with the same level of realism and drama as you run The Dark Eye, at least one of your games will feel off imo.
The same is true for most of the questions made. In narrative games the players will have much more agency over the world than in a hexcrawl. One will have cooperative world building, while the other is about exploring the either preset world and/or randomly generated events and locations. The list goes on.
My point: this seems to be written by someone who is used to each table or GM or player having a singular way to play. Definitely not true for the two groups I meet with a few times a month.
