Replying to myself, but I just made this today. Comically easy recipe, and the pie was good. BUT, a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top with some caramel sauce drizzled on, and its top tier desserts for me. Thanks for the recipe!
It’s a pie that can be had many ways I think. Fruit, cool whip, chocolate sauce (or caramel as you did), a shake of cinnamon and nutmeg. I’m sure I will find out because I expect I’m going to make buttermilk pie with some frequency. I always have pie crusts around because I make quiche pretty regularly. Glad to share a simple pleasure, there seem to be so few of them left
