That last panel looks like he could be doing a breakdancing floor move. A couple things of note:

• he’s not “slapping the floor” like in judo, or rolling like in aikido. it looks more like he’s catching and lowering himself. which you’d think would be hell on his joints, but he was a pretty lightweight guy. I bet he had muscles like a gymnast’s, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’d worked out on those hanging rings or that horse-beam gymnastics equipment.
• the camera angle is terrible. I think it would be better pointed at his face, so it wouldn’t be so obvious that he was catching himself from falling. (i.e. it’d look like he really was being bowled over.) lucky for us to see how it worked, tho.
