It’s a bit disingenuous to crop out the important part
- Ads would only be for other content on Nebula.
- Ads would only run at the end of videos, so as not to interrupt actual content.
- There would be an option in settings to just turn ads off completely. Or if they wanted to be super wild, have it off by default and one would need to opt-in to see these adverts.
So basically, like the shoutouts that the jetlag team does at the end: “hey, check out this other cool stuff on nebula that you might like”
Tsk tsk, mech.
there’s been one site I’ve been to that only had ads for site content and it genuinely is such a nice feature. owners get money to keep their site going and creators can get more eyes on their stuff.
Damn, and I was about to make a killing selling pitchforks.
