Democrats plan on introducing bills aimed at shielding consumers from rising electricity costs tied to data centers, requiring independent testing of advanced AI systems and clarifying when AI companies can be held liable for harm caused by their products, they said.

Hopefully the answer to “when AI companies can be held liable for harm caused” is always and criminally.

Where’s the flood of bills that limit the amount of domiciles entities are allowed to own?

Both sides and their constituencies are full of morons.

Didn’t a limit already pass? It’s an insane limit, to be clear, but 350 single-family homes is still a limit.

Ideally we’d see that limit get stricter over time, but it was a R-controlled congress, so getting that at all is wild.

Just curious, why does flooding the floor with bills meant to restrict AI make democrats out to be morons?

It’s a distraction from bigger issues, and everyone on the AI hate bandwagon is a moron trying to fit in with other morons.

Now that they have the house and senate the dems should subpoena records and emails to see who directed whom to circumvent the CFAA to build and train the various flavors of ai, and refer them for criminal prosecution.

I’d rather they pass legislation that limits the amount of domiciles entities are allowed to own.

Care to share why you believe that? Or are you just hoping that Daddy Musk will see this and share his hoarded wealth with you?
