Backlash to the ad
One of the most widely shared reactions to the ad on X came from political commentator The Shumater, who wrote: “This wildly offensive ad from Gov. Sanders features anti-trans tropes equivalent to parodying African-Americans with blackface. Hate isn’t funny. Punching down isn’t Christian. And she’s “prevented” nothing; no trans girl has ever tried to play sports in Arkansas.”
I was a Facebook admin for a few groups in rural america.
I just deleted and perma banned that kinda thing. Never heard any complaints.
As I’m in town sometimes, I don’t like to risk a brick through the car window etc so I’m careful how strongly I challenge people.
I think you’re more likely to be targeted by responding.
But I might not be the best judge, i was hosting drag shows in my town…I assumed all threats were related to that
