    The letter in full reads:

“Dear Jonas: Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America.

“Denmark cannot protect that land from Russia or China, and why do they have a ‘right of ownership’ anyway? There are no written documents, it’s only that a boat landed there hundreds of years ago, but we had boats landing there, also.

“I have done more for NATO than any other person since its founding, and now, NATO should do something for the United States. The World is not secure unless we have Complete and Total Control of Greenland.

    Thank you!
    President DJT”

I know he’s a buffoon, and yet I’m still amazed that this is the President of the United States of America. This is the writing style of an 8 year old!

Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize

Seems like he missed the basics principles (again). Even if the Norwegian government would, they could not do it. It’s not up to them … “Nobel Prizes are assigned by various committees depending on the category”

Well, if these committees were in the USA, the government (i.e. Trump) could and would decide who gets the Nobel Prizes.

The Nobel committee does have politicians on the peace part. Which is a big mistake, as they’ve made a string of awful decisions. The entire committee has no credibility in the reality based community, thinking Obama, an institutionalist, would deserve it. Then aiby ahmed, su kyi, now a zionist at the tail end of a two year long final solution for their ghetto, lashing out at all of their neighbors under false pretexts with their overwhelming military advantage. That also advocated for a us backed coup of her own country.

A coup that happened already, the military made a deal clearly, they let the helicopters through, the US wouldn’t have tried that mission if they had not gave up intel and agreed to stand down. The army is the de facto ruler, will oversee the now puppet civilian government signing over assets and concessions and after resistance forms to wholesale oil drilling for foreign interests sees attacks on oil infrastructure and what have you, the army will get into atrocities, and if history is any guide establish paramilitaries to do the dirty work they don’t want to do directly, like run death squads through villages to collectively punish them, paid for by black market drug and weapon sales.

I mention this, because that is the legacy of this nobel prize, that is what will result from the coup she advocated. The nobel committee is beyond a joke, might as well have given it to the president at this point.

He knows enough that he is in power and he can do and say what he wants. His entire lifespan has taught him that reality will change to accomodate his wishes. and he is not wrong. So he doesn’t have to know how anything works, it will work in his favour if he says so.

“Wahhh, you didn’t give me the Nobel Peace Prize, so now I’m making thinly veiled threats to invade our mutual ally. Also, look I got a FIFA peace prize and I stole a medal from the Nobel laureate.”

Except he probably doesn’t know the word laureate…

And there literally are documents recording Denmark’s rights to Greenland. But by trump’s logic of “Only cause boats landed there a few hundred years ago,” I guess the US doesn’t have rights to the land it’s on?

Also, trump has done nothing for NATO except weaken it. Other NATO countries are gearing up their commitments in spite of him, not because of him.

Asbuser “look what you made me do” energy. If he had been given it (he’s already been given 2 non-participation trophies) it would have been “this can’t be a war because I have a Peace Prize. This is necessary for peace.”

America democratically elected this chud. His moves appear to be about creating some sort of legacy that we’ll all look back on fondly one day. He craves a peace prize and when it doesn’t arrive he proceeds to threaten the committee. Delusional doesn’t come close to explaining this pathology.

“I have done more for NATO than any other person since its founding”

Trump claim to have done for NATO more than any other person since its founding yet some people here call him out for being anti NATO. NATO does what US say, be aware of what’s happening and don’t get fooled.

How many wars are “8 wars PLUS”? Can he count beyond 8?

And seriously, is this all aboul that Nobel Prize? Is he throwing a hissy fit just because he couldn’t win it?

America, you better do something with your senile president, because your reputation was already low before him but right now you are just drilling into the ground to find if rock-bottom is truly the bottom.

is this all aboul that Nobel Prize?

He’s pissed he didn’t get it. But if he had gotten it, he would have found another “reason” to throw a tantrum. And it wouldn’t help Greenland, as long as some of the filthy rich people have an interest in it - “freedom cities” where they can live their liberitarian dreams.

He’s pissed because Obama got one. We can’t forget that one (of many other) foundational reasons for Trump to run for president was because Obama mocked him at a dinner party. And if Obama was a 2-term president with a Nobel Prize, Trump wants to outdo him. Purely because Trump is a man child racist

Isn’t it obvious? If those filthy norwegians would have given him the prize, he wouldn’t have any reasons to think of war.

I think it’s obvious, he can’t be a peace president withowt the peace prize.

“Look what they are going to make me do! It’s all your fault that I’m gonna use violence against you!”. Trump, probably.

Trump is an abusive narcissistic psychopath. When he says he didn’t prop up the Venezuelan opposition leader because she didn’t give him the Nobel peace price (until recently), when he says he no longer thinks of peace because he wasn’t awarded it, he’s basically saying “look at what you made me do”. Stop pampering the American psychopath.

That would be doing exactly what you did to Venezuela, which many people decried. Not to mention Trump will die before anybody has armed forces strong enough to even think about it.

This is the kind of petty logic you’d expect from a schoolchild.

It also reveals something chilling about his power-oriented world view: In Trump’s mind, there is no such thing as an ‘independent committee’ that the Norwegian government might defer to regarding who gets the nobel peace price. He presumes that of course any government could seize the authority to influence who gets the price, so the Norwegian government’s obvious decision not to intervene in Trump’s favour is implicitly seen as a decision against Trump. In Trump’s mind, there are no rules and there is no such thing as a pluralistic society that practices self-restraint and shares power.
