What a terrible poll. It intentionally asks an inflammatory question, taking advantage of a poorly understood issue. What this poll is really showing is that people want to fund social security, and are willing to raise taxes to do so. I bet if they’d asked about taxes on the wealthy, we’d have seen even higher support, but they didn’t for some reason…?

Are there any think tanks that genuinely care about the working class?

From what I’ve seen, think tanks just exist to create distractions for consumerists.

I mean, that’s what “Social Security” has always been: a suckers’ bet that said marks get to pass onto the next generation to do the same for less, ad infinitum.

It’s complete bullshit, and 100% a con —always has been.

(Nevermind that this “study” is corrupted AF.)

Not really. Social security has problems because the people in power do not pay their fair share in taxes while making sure everything is as expensive as possible for the rest of us.

If we stopped sucking off the people fucking us over, then we could fund it without taking on more debt.
