Considers
Put up or shut up. The time for strongly worded letters passed like, a year ago.
I’m quite happy that our leaders don’t react like Trump. It’s nice to have a few adults in the room. They’re not perfect, but at least they’re better.
The EU doesn’t have a president that can make such decisions on a whim and that’s a good thing. Instead this needs to be discussed and voted on in the parliament and for what it’s worth, they seem to be moving extremely fast
The EU doesn’t have a quasi-dictator like the USA. It does things in agreement with its 27 member countries. They are now being asked. This is good, it means it is a state of law, unlike the USA.
They’ve had plenty of time to draw up real measures against the USA. At least a month since military threats on Greenland started, and at least a year since the USA started talking non-stop about wanting it.
Per the article, this isn’t even being put to a vote, it is being drawn up to use as leverage at the WEF. Fascists don’t care about letters or threats without follow through. So far, from leaders around the world, all I’ve seen is what amounts to economic saber rattling.
Leadership bodies need to stop being Neville Chamberlain about this whole thing. Asking nicely, to a fascist, is as good as doing nothing.
The ACI is the real measure they drew up
The EU isn’t, thank god, run by hotheads. They will not spend their ammunition in advance.
