I disagree that they’re harmless; hate crimes against queer people have only gone up in the past few years. It can happen anywhere, but it’s way more likely to happen in one of these red areas.

There are dangerous piles of shit everywhere. Just because the dangerous pile of shit might be the sheriff in these places does not make these places unreachable or worthy of a “no-go” status.
