Or, what about the opposite? Something you think is only worthwhile on one specific character.

Warp Stone is so good i get it all the time, because i mostly play thicc slow heroes. Gets you out of and into stuff very nicely. For dynamo ult its just necessary to hit it reliably.

Warp stone is the best item in the game that i never buy. I don’t know why, i always feel like i waste my money because i could do more damage. When i do buy it for whatever reason i often think: hah, i would be dead now without. Hah, ahain. Hah, again.

And then i proceed to not buy it again.

I just love the feeling of being an unkillable, unmovable green item rock. Makes people lose their mind when they ult me and i just shrug it off. Gives my team plenty of time to beat the shit out of them.

    Not really.

There’s plenty of overlap, but there isn’t really anything I buy on every hero every time.

There’s nothing I’d include in every build, and counter-items aren’t needed every match.

I get Guardian Ward pretty often, even if I’m not playing support. It’s useful even if I’m only using it on myself, but the 1/2 cooldown when casting on other players makes it really nice.

I haven’t played for a couple of months, but when I am playing I almost always get at least Extra Stamina (if not Superior Stamina). I enjoy practicing my movement during matches, but I’m nowhere near good enough to do it without errors so some extra stamina allows me to trial and error where I otherwise wouldn’t be able to.

Not buying stamina items made me so much better at movement, because i had to actually care about my stamina. I feel like just always buying extra stamina or sup stamina teaches you bad habits like wasting stamina.

Nothing really, but I fucking love stacking movement items. I think part of the reason I like bebop so much is because you get to roam around like crazy.

Honestly a bit risky but I’ll say glass cannon or opening rounds, as someone who plays doorman, haze, and shiv/Mina. The +80% gun damage is hard to pass up tbh.

Granted the majority of my games are on street brawl so I don’t have to necessarily worry about super long term macro, but it’s GC has been extremely useful with decent game sense

Cyrus did a great job explaining that in his vid, I think on haze it’d do wonders but I’d rather have the DOT of toxic than the immediate damage of Tesla, thats just personal preference based on my own playstyle though! People thinking they got away and then… Just enough DOT to get em

As Billy encompasses very much the mindset I have, no matter which hero I play, Extra Health and then upgraded to Fortitude is nearly always included.otherwise I die even quicker.

I remember when fortitude got nerfed by a few seconds and everyone called it useless now. I still think it’s one of the best health items in the game. You are almost always ready to get into fights. In combination with veil walker you can hide in a closet, heal 250, get fortitude heath and get 250 health walking out.

Honestly I’ve slept on fortitude for so long, but I’ve started getting friends into deadlock by playing street brawl and I kinda require them to get it. That Really makes their lives much easier since default regen is so slow

I always build a custom for each character I use, even though I know it could get wiped next patch. Furthermore, I usually minmax them in different ways. Dynamo’s first ability is powerful so just stack damage and cooldown reduction. Victor’s third ability does massive damage but it also makes him frail so grab area, spirit lifesteal, movement, and things like ethereal shift or warp stone for when it’s time to get out.

Refresher is good on a lot of characters but I rarely get it outside of Street Brawl because the 300 second cooldown is very unforgiving.
