women who are mentally ill, or just embittered or angry, solicit men to do their dirty work. every jim crow lynching based on a white girls testimony was an act of violence and these deeds go on today yet they’re never quantified. and these past crimes are never tallied against women, are they?
is there a listing of every time a woman coerced a man into killing someone for her? doubtful.
all you’re doing is encouraging that behavior by glorifying women. women never do wrong–they never think wrong, they never act wrong. it’s all men, men, men.
adam and eve was mixed up–it’s the man who bit the apple, says the delusional internet poster.
You should maybe touch grass
Where in this post does it say women can do no wrong?
You appear to be lost
“Mental illness is not your fault, but it is your responsibility.”
No I can’t even agree that that’s relevant to the post. Mental illness doesn’t teach you that it’s OK to abuse women, mental illness doesn’t teach you to be racist, and plenty of very mentally ill people have absolutely no inclination towards those things. Does it make you more susceptible to the worst society has to offer? Of course, but your neurons misfiring doesn’t automatically lead to the conclusion that you have shoot up a school or abuse your family or anything else like that. There’s very ugly things happening in our country that affect both mentally ill and mentally healthy people.
I think you’re misunderstanding the quote. It literally means that mental illness is not an excuse to abuse others, not the everyone with a mental illness is abusive.
Right, it’s the top comment i disagree with.
Same for trauma. I mean you have to deal with it, not alone if you can get help but that not the perpetrator who have to deal with the damages.
In Why Does He Do That? Lundy Bancroft talks a lot about how a lot of people mistakenly think that abusive men have a temper problem and need anger management, and he talks about how they will graduate anger management as abusers with much better control over their tempers because the two aren’t really strongly connected
That book helped save me. Always a good mention, thank you.
I see lundy Bancroft, I upvote
I realized the other day that I don’t have any cis male friends.
I have some and have had tons over the years, most of them are great. Doesn’t make this tweet less true though.
Me too, the men I have in my lodge are great and we have close bonds. They also do the work to be good, healthy friends that share a lot of respect and love.
I have one… we only talk every few weeks though
As is expected lol. I have friends I haven’t talked to in years
I love uppity_negress_’s take on things. She’s one person I miss after leaving Threads.
