      It’s honestly adorable. I wonder if sometime in the future we end up with short spine syndrome raccoon pets because it makes them look cute to us and it becomes a survival benefit for that reason, haha.

        The mortality rate for creatures with that mutation is very high. When you squish down the body like that there’s no room for the organs to develop properly.

          Organs, shmorgans - most of those are either vestigial or optional anyways, and this way they’re cute!

          I’ll take three, please. Two for starting an unholy abomination race which I’ll teach to communicate with sign language for the purpose of selling ads on YouTube, and a third to be the camera raccoon, to catch all their wacky antics on film!
