Been really enjoying reclaiming pink in my life after growing up a tomboy who rejected my femininity

I love painting my nails, baking, cooking, and cleaning. I also really enjoy “girl” games like farming and life simulators.

It was quite a journey to come around and finally feel free to embrace these things after a childhood of being told all of those hobbies aren’t cool, are embarrassing, are only for girls.

I believe in the radical possibilities of pleasure, babe! After a lifetime of being scolded for it hahaha

I love makeup, perfume, and clothes.

I am usually pretty minimal and focus on just hygiene and skincare, but there are times I like to step it up. I sometimes want beautiful purple sparkly eyelids, a deep red lip, or shiny/shaded cheeks. I like smelling like baked goods, fruits, flowery, or even something strange like petrichor! I like mixing up my clothing style sometimes. I usually look somewhat professional or put together, but I do dip back into slightly edgier looks on occasion. (Not as often as I’d like due to low energy from disability and lack of clothing options.)

Hygge is a big priority when I do any kind of home decor projects.

I enjoy sewing and eventually I’d like to branch into knitting so I can make my own sweaters. And I have big goals for my boot collection.

I enjoy cooking, and I finally got into gardening this year.

Perfume, hairstyling, baking & cooking. Hospitality. Enjoyed having kids too.

Atypical? Probably my taste in books and movies, my mom said I had the taste of a teenage boy, lol. I collect comics too, well graphic novels really - won’t read anything until the season is collected. Don’t wear skirts or dresses.

Dresses (but the right ones…), nails, accessories, makeup (its taken a while to be comfortable but im having a lot of fun with really bold eyeshadow colours that work with what im wearing), meeting my friend over cheap rosé with a dose of gossip and bitchiness, smut fiction…

If I see a pretty wild flower I take a photo of it.

One of the little things that’s contributed to my homesickness has been that I’ve missed the wild orchids coming into bloom this year :-/

Jewelry and accessories. I overdo it sometimes but it’s because jingle jangle makes me happy

Flouncy, layered gowns. If it has frills, lace, gossamer, long trailing things I’m an absolute whore for it.

Pity I don’t go to places where these are appropriate wear often any longer. 😞

Skirts and dresses. I hated wearing them when I was a kid, but after a nasty car crash that had complications that were made easier by wearing skirts, I love them now!

I also love long dangly earrings. I get them as my souvenir when I travel. This is great for a conversation starter too. If someone compliments my earrings, I can tell them where I bought them and ask about any traveling they may do too.

Also, I really like painting my nails. I’ve always painting them, but I enjoy more colors like pink and pastels now too.

Lately parfum and doing my nails. I try to get in touch with my femininity more. so maybe i will even start wearing jewelery more and get some more dresses.
