Still, it was a mistake to watch anime right after some manga chapters. Anyway, anime reveals the characters from new sides to me. Quite unexpectedly, Kokoa’s voice turned out to be different from what I imagined (I remembered), Syaro seems a little power-hungry, although Chiya does not let her get carried away. Atmosphere of a town with half-timbered houses with rabbits is the best, 1st opening has a super-soothing effect. I’m looking forward to watch season 3 (and 2).

The first opening is really a classic and very comfy. One of the few songs where I can half remember the lyrics. Why is it a mistake to watch the anime after reading the manga?
In typical scenario: read bunch of manga (say, to cover 1-2 seasons) then immidetely watch anime than it feels off because the plot is still fresh in your mind. You need to wait at least half a year before watching.
In my case it’s a bit more complicated since I started reading manga to learn japanese. Thanks to this I’m not only built a solid workflow to mining Anki cards but also complitely memorized words and even lines I mined.
That’s both bless and curse. On one hand, I understand almost everything, on the other hand I remeber some dialogues too well so my brain just sometimes stops processing and translating scene naturally (that happens rarely and feels like in typical scenario - just like a spoilers). I haven’t read manga for 3rd season, so it will be interesting to see if this downside is actually exists.
Indeed, mining by manga is more convinient than by anime, cz you don’t feel that manga was interrupted when you check word in Yomitan, unlike anime with sound and animation.
Ah yeah. I feel like SOL like Gochiusa is very re-watchable and isn’t ruined at all by knowing the plot, because the value is more in the exact way the characters interact with each other moment to moment. And that I usually don’t remember well. But if you remember the lines than that very part is spoiled indeed.
