While I sure hope that happens, I doubt any of the rich people will become poor. They’re very good at supplying golden parachutes.

There aren’t many options. I remember hearing about Xen decades ago.
xen is still floating around, but mostly irrelevant for virtualization as we know it now.
Plus qemu and xen have different use case.
They better not use a mailing list!
