Personal opinion: Nathan seems to be really side-stepping a lot of concerns brought of up in the comments there. And referring to people coming together collectively in an open-letter when virtually all other channels are closed as ‘brigading’ is… Not cool. Edit: he retracted the use of brigading.

    I do not see this in the article linked. What you call a “nebulous opinion-based pro-AI reason” does not read as a reason at all to me - more like a devil’s advocate sort of trying to see the other side as well.

    I especially don’t see where he gives that equal weight to being against AI (as I am btw).

    I think you folks are fighting windmills here.

    Graham says several times that this is a WIP. Nothing is decided.
    KDE is not Big Tech by any stretch of the definition; I see no reason to distrust his words as a matter of course.
