I can accept that it may be necessary to cull sometimes and still think this is awesome

I don’t think overpopulation is sufficient justification. By that logic it would also be acceptable to cull humans since they are overpopulated

I’m ok with culling humans but only IF we start with war mongering idiots and all billionaires first.

After fair redistribution of control and resources, etc, then give it a few years and see if we need to cull again.

Guillotine time is a calling!!! Can I suggest that NetanYAHOO and the orange child rapist go first?

Claiming we’re overpopulated is literally ecofascist rhetoric. By what metric are we overpopulated? Using too much land and resources?

Did you know if everyone went vegan, the space used for farmland (which accounts for a large portion of “human” space) could be reduced by as much as 75%? (https://ourworldindata.org/land-use-diets)

Granted, the whole world will not turn vegan, but I don’t think we’ll start culling people either. There are many, many things we could do to reduce resource usage (or other overpopulation metric) that would have minimal or no impact on us as a species.

Consider also that populations of “wealthy” countries tend to slow in growth, plateau, or even shrink over time (see Japan).

I do agree overpopulation is not sufficient justification for culling any species.

the evidence for this claim is poore-nemecek 2018, which is poorly methodized.

I’m sorry the reality is inconvenient to your preconceived notion
