Votes aren’t wishes. The electoral college is a thing. Many states are locked down for one side or the other and it really doesn’t matter who any individual votes for. In fact, being from Connecticut, I’ve voted for a third party for decades because I feel like it’s the only way for my vote for president to potentially have an impact.
