Of course finance bros would ‘go meta’ on charitable donations. Of course they would.

I had a nifty idea. So markets are like, totally cool, connecting things to other things and it’s all totally optimal. So what if we set up some kind of ‘altruism market’? Instead of a bloated inefficient EA organisation centrally planning where funds should be allocated and deciding which causes are the most effective, we could open it up so that the savviest donors can select the best destination for their funds directly, and skip all the overhead. We could run that for a while and then, if it turns out that donkey sanctuaries are able to attract enough donations to continue operating in the Market of Altruism, then we can only rationally conclude that a donkey sanctuary is the most Effective Altruism.

Inside the Agent-4 collective, a year passes every week.
Good luck proving this prediction true or false given that computer algorithms do not have a concept of time separate from the real one lol.
Inside my toy orbital gravity simulation, a year passes every ten seconds. Please update your singularity timelines accordingly.

AGENTS.md serves an invaluable purpose in prominently tagging slopware. A mark the promptfondlers can’t wait to bolt on personally!
If its content does nothing, does that mean that ‘poisoned’ contents are also nearly ineffective? Then it can be an even more straightforward slop signal.

This argument hinges on the idea that the most important part of a business is its ‘data’, far more important than anything like its assets or its workers or its long-standing client relationships, which is… dubious.
If you presuppose that all the value of an enterprise is confined entirely to the part that’s computable, then you’ll be shocked to discover that a computer can do all of it. But a computer is not doing all of it, and if a real existing business today cannot replace itself with a computer, why would some vastly overcapitalised slop foundry be able to?

What if the insurance bot were actually biased? Wouldn’t you feel silly then? Surely it wouldn’t be the fault of the insurer using biased software to deny claims.

Pew asked:
Overall, would you say the increased use of artificial intelligence (AI) in daily life makes you feel …
52% of all adults were more concerned than excited — a new high. 37% were more excited than concerned.
What are the stats on disgusted, or weary, or guillotiney?

That is, an Ezra Klein bottle
It’s true: these massive climate-controlled facilities are kept so cold, entirely for the benefit of the two people that are walking around at any time.
