it is so so sad how exploited that poor kid is. in addition to missing out on the opportunity to be a present and attuned parent for such incredible years in a kid’s life, bird is also feeding gen-AI everything it needs to make super accurate deep fakes of her kid. every little bit of that kid that is posted can be harvested for deep fakes, including “just her voice”. bird has even found and called out deep fakes of herself!! imagine still posting your kid knowing this is something that happens.

100% agree, it makes me feel so much better knowing there are thousands of other people out here who can see what we can. i’ve said it here on lemmy before and i’ll say it again - i increasingly believe there are more of us (people who see the truth behind bird and others like her) than there are actual followers. reddit gets way more action and engagement than most of bird’s posts, unless she’s showing her naked body and/or her kid (highest engagement is when she combines the two, which is completely fucked up). besides the semi-nudes and the child exploitation, im pretty sure most of her engagement comes from bots, snarkers and pervs. i also think her and her minions get off on our snarking.

i totally understand and respect this decision, the instagram person crossed a line posting people’s faces and their handles. what the actual fuck is wrong with them? we are trying to gather in PRIVATE online spaces to discuss the harms and tactics of these fucking influencers, leave us the fuck alone! get. a. life!!! these private spaces are kind of all we have, because when we try to find accountability or even question things in public online spaces, we are silenced. there is ZERO accountability for the manipulation and exploitation these people call their career. anyways. i get it, i trust the mods of that sub they have been excellent, and i look forward to rejoining y’all whenever im let back in. for now, i do also love the lemmy community and grateful to be here with you all.

Ya, that’s exactly what I noticed looking at the numbers on her insta posts. The only posts with engagement that would qualify her as a successful influencer are the ones that involve her naked body and/or her kid. I feel very sad for her children.

i absolutely love when you post receipts for how much engagement her shit actually gets. the closer we look, the more clear it becomes that this whole thing is a house of cards. there is literally more engagement on reddit than there is on some of her content. absolutely love to see it.

You always call her moves months before she makes them, and I think you’re right again! I wonder how successfully she’ll be able to spin this one. I get the sense that she can feel it all falling apart and unravelling, she seems even more unhinged and panicked lately.

I’m pretty sure the main engagement she gets from people who are not bots is us! She is performing for bots and snarkers. She has to come in here and read and downvote, otherwise she has no real people to engage with. All of her content is a reaction to us. All the word salad bullshit she spews on podcasts and on her instagram are so obviously direct responses to things people criticize her for online. She is contributing nothing of value, she is complete bottom feeder, sucking up the scraps and riding the coattails of people who have actual talent or actual contributions to make.
