Holy shit! That exactly explains why I’ve seen so many duplicated functions lately. I brought it up to the dev responsible the first time I found one (git blame), and he was just like “oh haha I can remove one” like he wasn’t quite sure what I was talking about, now I realize he must’ve gotten on that AI train much earlier than I thought…

I misremembered slightly, overall biggest impact were the top 2:

1. processed meat/poultry/seafood
2. natural and artificially sweetened beverages

I saw a video where they talked about a bunch of studies about ultra processed foods, and the top 3 worst foods for health were (iiirc)

1. Processed meats like bacon and hotdogs
2. Sugary drinks
3. Sugary baked goods (think this included oreos and snack cakes etc)

Those 3 were like 99% of the danger of processed foods.

Minor nitpick, most places (US-specific) have property taxes you have to pay every year, so even if you own your own home, you’re paying something to someone every year for the right to have a roof over your head.
