  • I think there’s is a lot of value in a short term relationship especially if it ends well without lot of resentment or drama. That being said the best short term have a defined end date. For something like this it’s more nebulous communication will be important. At some point both of you will need to find someone that would work long term. You might both agree that you can casually date other people while dating

The younger you are and the newer this relationship the more time you have. If you are young there’s more time in your life to find a different partner and you don’t know what you want and same with him. If you’re relationship is new there is plenty of time for something else to break you up. There are other deal breakers out there

  • Just requested it from the library. Our composting in place garden has been producing a ton over three last year. We have lots of berries now and have a lot of functional plants in our urban yard. It’s mostly teas, medicinals and some cut flowers but we can get lots of use out of it. When you really try there is a lot of space to grow what you need even in a small space if you prioritize. I can’t feed myself but good supplemental for high value things

  • I am going to give you two book recommendations that I think should be done in this order: Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat and The Wok

Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat is great because it talks and about what is needed for all recipes (it’s title). It talks about food science and theory so you can understand techniques and understand what each thing in a recipe does. It does have generic recipes that you can modify as well “lessons” to walk through what you learned.

The Wok is similar but just about using a Wok. I love the wide variety of things you can make with the wok. It also gives you some sidebars about how to shop of ingredients, sauces and how to chop for the recipes. It also talks techniques with then example recipes. Read both and try them out
