I burned loads of DVDs with my favourite shows in the mid 2000s, almost none of them were readable only a few years ago… good thing is I switched to a jellyfin server and found better encodes of pretty much all the shows

lol, I went to Montreal for a conference once and needed to print a poster at A1 size, but the file was made for A2 of something. The clerk at the copy shop told me it wouldn’t fit, so I told him to just rotate and scale up. He kept insisting it would leave a white border until I finally got him to just try it… I was flabbergasted that even at a print shop they didn’t know how these paper sizes work

no, he’s referring to the c suite: CEO, CTO, CFO etc

personally I love the way gnome apps use CSD, but then I only ever use gnome. I’m not a fan of the absolute statements people make here, either saying CSD is terrible or superior, I feel like their actual usage is a personal preference.
that said, I would prefer if the gnome project made much more of an effort to integrate its apps into the wider ecosystem. They could add an option that GTK listens to that turns the title bar into just a menu bar, allowing SSD desktops to provide their own decoration. and the gnome desktop could also provide default decorations for apps that don’t have CSD. I think this would provide a better experience for both gnome users and users of other desktops
inspiration taken from the ‘Once and Future’ comic series perhaps? pretty much this exact thing happens in it. it’s quite short and finished, highly recommend it!
the issue isn’t just that she’s reading and hearing these comments online, the issue is that teenage boys are doing so. social media has normalised this kind of behaviour to them, and they bring those views with them to the real world where girls will interact with them: school, sports clubs etc.
