That’s a bit disingenuous. I’m not absolving our agencies of the responsibility to work on increasing the safety of those held in detention but 17 deaths over 26 years is not equivalent to what’s happening in the US where 23 people have died in ICE detention since October 2025 (source).

I mean sure but there’s only an extra office in Ontario because the national capital is in Ontario. If Ottawa wasn’t the capital, I bet there wouldn’t be an office there.

I know this isn’t what they’re doing at all, but I like to think they’re actually referring to the first amendment of our constitution. I find it comical to think they’re that passionate about either the establishment of Manitoba (technically the first amendment) or strengthening Indigenous peoples’ rights (first amendment after 1982 when we achieved full sovereignty).

You’re 100% correct. I always find it funny how hardcore some people are with jellyfin vs Plex. I’ll probably end up getting downvotes on this but imo Plex is way simpler to setup and keep running, and as a lifetime pass owner, I’ve very rarely felt like my experience has been deteriorated by any of the changes that the jellyfin crowd freaks out about. Plus plexamp is honestly such a great music player. I’ll happily keep running Plex for the foreseeable future.
Sure but even in that context, where I live an Xbox controller costs between ~$80 to just over a hundred depending on the design. The Elite controller is ~$200 (or currently on sale for $150).
So with that context, the $150 price point of the Steam Controller is really not that high, especially when you consider the hall effect joysticks, trackpads, gyro, and Valve’s really strong track record of supporting their hardware post-launch.
Note: all prices are in Canadian dollars
