Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
In FMA:B it turns out the government is being run by a bunch of inhuman, genocidal monsters and a bunch of people band together and do something about it. So yeah, probably this one.

I haven’t seen anything in the news, but a large subset of anime fans won’t be pleased unless their anime is free and released with a quality English translation on day 1 and they never make any mistakes so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The fact that in reality they seem intent on slowly enshittifying their services does not help.

I think my favorite OP of the season has to be Akane-banashi’s. The song itself is good, but the visuals are basically perfect for the type of story they’re selling.

Looks sick; even with everything else going on I’m absolutely down.

Man, they really dropped something crazy right at the end there. Looks like we’ll be seeing a lot more of what’s going on in the next episode though!

Tbf, we did get a pretty big hint - it sounds like Higashi village has been sending assassins after Asa. Also, their conversation was interrupted. I imagine he thought he would have time for a longer discussion.

They going cram 50 books into 7 episodes?
No? Only the first 50 chapters. That comes out to about 5 and a half volumes. Also, since there are 300 minutes of runtime we’re looking at much longer than average episodes. The pacing here seems pretty reasonable actually.
don’t they have that live action show to deal with
Do you think the live action crew is drawing the anime in their spare time? That’s obviously not how it works.

More than just that; I expect it’ll also be reanimated to today’s standards.

It certainly has a stronger start than FMA did. Here’s hoping it can also stick the landing!

Aww yeah it’s Naddy time!

A Glass Mask reference huh? I wouldn’t have expected it!
Once again this somehow feels like both a furry manga and human superiority propaganda at the same time.

What a gorgeous adaptation. They animated beautifully the power fantasy of being able to draw a perfect circle.

Sometimes for short statements. For longer statements I’m more focused on making sure I understand what they’re saying.

Finished the 3rd volume of Konosuba this week. It continues to be wonderful, though since I came to it having already seen the anime that’s no surprise.

Love how Dera and Hana are going, “Okay things are finally calming down we can slowly get Yuru accustomed to the lower world now” and Yuru says “No. The plot will progress.”
Also Yuru’s daemons are great. It kinda feels like they’re just enjoying the ride.

Wild stuff. Never heard of the oneshot.

There are actually plenty of fanworks that ask for small amounts of money. Just look at Comiket’s doujinshi scene! I think the difference here though is that these spoiler articles in question don’t add anything of value at all.

2014 really had nothing better to offer than When Marnie Was There? Really? That movie was boring as hell.
Anyways, I looked up 2014 and it looks like that was indeed a super weak year for anime movies.
It’s honestly too difficult to resist just saying “anything with Takehito Koyasu in a major role”. Seriously, my mind can’t stray from his deep, hot guy voice.
edit: for dubs I’ve got to say Fullmetal Alchemist. Any time I hear the Japanese version I’m disappointed because the English performances, and especially those done for Major Armstrong and Colonel Mustang, are just too dang good.
