I’m reconsidering if it is actually a terrible name for a band. I saw Piss Bath supporting Dead Kennedys a couple of years ago. It’s probably the only support band name I’ve remembered, so in that respect it’s quite effective.

You can always find cases where cycling isn’t suitable. The point was that the person in the original article could easily cycle, save loads of money, keep fit, and probably only have to leave about 10 minutes earlier. There will be millions of people in the UK in the same position but it’s like a massive blind spot in the national psyche.

Why does it matter? I cycle 16 miles a day through the country. I’m a 58 year old, slightly overweight old fart, by the way. Get an electric bike and it’s even easier. It’s just stupid spending all that money on a car to do that sort of distance.

“I normally do about 15 to 20 miles a day”. You don’t need a car to do that. A bicycle will be just as fast if there is rush hour traffic.

So you have a problem and the way you see of solving it is to make it someone else’s (far worse) problem. You know it’s wrong. Don’t be a dick.

Most of the links seem to be broken. I think that page is quite old. One thing I don’t like about Springwatch is the lack of information when they aren’t broadcasting. It’s crickets for months and then you get about a week’s notice of when it actually is.

This is 100% the fault of vets and the manufacturers. They both push to give treatments every month, and it’s simply not needed. We have 4 cats which only get treated when one or more actually gets fleas. One treatment of all 4 is enough to get rid of all the fleas. So how often do any of the cats get fleas? None of them got fleas last year, and so far no fleas this year either. It’s ridiculous to say they need monthly treatments, and it is purely for profit,
