  • Re commutations vs pardons, the same is true with Trump. Thousands more commutations than pardons.

Re “fairness”, do you think this pardon was fair?

“the owner of a Detroit-area Medicare billing company who orchestrated a $26 million Medicare fraud.”

“Cuyahoga County commissioner, served more than a decade in prison on corruption charges”

    …and so on.

It’s not “completely different”, it’s the same old shit, just like when Bush or Trump or Clinton did the exact same thing

But you WANT him to be different… so here we are, in your own fantasy land. So nice here. Oblivion. Peace

Your comment reads as a bad faith interpretation of their post.

It doesn’t matter if it is or not. That’s how it reads.

(stop guessing at the motivations of a poster and deal with their points pragmatically, otherwise it’s all just a fantasy… you have no insight into them (or anyone else)… you are not the “faith decider”)

  • I’m old enough to recall Bush political cartoons, he was constantly a monkey clown for our amusement. I’m fine with any President being portrayed as a monkey, personally.

But this struck me immediately as deeply racist. I think it’s because of the attack on the former first lady? It’s a visceral reaction.

What did she ever do to anybody?

  • The USA will undergo spiraling inflation until it collapses in on itself.

Our federal government is far more trouble than they are worth. We should be like individual states, but united. I declare it the… United States of America! Oh, wait.

But really, we will collapse and split into collections of states, some alone, some allied with others, I’m not sure if it’s officially a balkanization, but close enough.

Our state governments will replace the fed automatically and easily (easily as in possible, not easily as in staving off empty shelves, fuel shortages, etc).

Our banking will stay basically the same, because they’re not even the government, the Fed is a collection of bankers representing our various super banks. They will rug pull, buy everything at bargain prices, and restart the slow march of inflation richer than ever before.
