oh it certainly was some sort of astroturf. Previous to that my comments I felt like I was the only one who would mention it. So I use zorin and I feel its the best for typical windows users and anyone who just wants to install and get to immediately using thier pc. So basically its the lazy distro. Lot of software out of box including wine with play on linux so right after installation you could run or install windows programs if you wanted to (I would check out linux alternatives first). That being said my personal opinion if someone wants to run games is to dual boot a gaming distro or install a gaming distro and use it as your main one. Further I don’t recommend dual booting windows. If someone wants to keep windows around my sugestion, if they have it, is to install linux on your last older laptop. Anyone who had a machine that did not outright die and upgraded in the last ten years will be pleasantly surprised how well linux runs on older hardware compared to windows on newer. Once you have weaned yourself 100% off windows and realize how useless it is then install on the current laptop. Given if you don’t still have your older one then by all mean dual boot. I initially did that but have reversed the setup and now have linux on my better laptop as I was so annoyed with windows wasting the good one.

my reason is stupid and two fold. One is just pure laziness as I had a nice setup for my day to day on windows and it would take some effort to get going with linux. The other is I have been in IT and its kinda handy to use day to day what you have to work with or support (this includes my wife who I have not gotten off of windows). Once im working I should be able to buy a new drive and stop my last uses of windows since I have only done the super easy low hanging fruit.

I mean I did not post anything about switching but have commented multiple times. Fact is I should have switched awhile back as I already knew it had gotten to the point it could do everything I needed it to. Windows 11 was the tipping point. I could no longer delay and it was already a massive pain to block the telemetry and such especially since updates would regularly reactivate things…

I mean I would not sign the bs thing taking out of context quotes. Its like everything republicans do. Yeah and photoshop things had the issue with passing around to. AI does have the issue of input being integrated into other output though. If someone asks for a redhead will it reference redheads various randos inputed into the system. Honestly whats scarier is if someone wants to touch up photos of their family and ai takes that as human images that make sense to use as reference for other porn material requests.

I can see this. Someone had a comment in another thread that if its for private use its fine and I sorta get that but someone else made the point that ai should not have the info really. So people should really be concerned that ai can have image or video or audio input by users. They should have to use text or non image docs. If someone wants to deepfake and ex they will need to describe them.
