Destroying Israeli universities wouldn’t actually advance Iran’s cause but could well lose them some of the small amount of international support they’re enjoying. I’m not saying they should be any more scrupulous than anyone else, or than they’re currently being, but they should, and presumably would prefer to, concentrate their efforts on targets that could actually impact their enemy’s ability to harm them.

It always stands out to me that, even if I accept the tenets of liberal electoralism, VBNMW doesn’t work! Your vote is your power within that system. If you will vote for the democratic candidate regardless, why would they feel any need to do what you want? You aren’t depositing voter-credit in an account which you can then draw on to alter their platform. They already have everything they want from you!
Just infuriating.
