Man, musicals get such a bad rep… Wicked was a musical and it was hugely popular. Not your cup of tea? Pink Floyd: The Wall and Imaginaerum were musicals that used rock and metal music, respectively. KPop Demon Hunters was a musical, too, though that’s going back to pop music… well, K-Pop mixes in hip-hop with pop, so, not exactly.
I also wholeheartedly believe that nobody who’s seen The Phantom of the Opera hates it.
Musicals are awesome; Guys and Dolls, Singing in the Rain, Paint Your Wagon (Clint Eastwood and Lee Marvin sing!), and of course, Little Shop of Horrors.

So I suppose it begs the question: which musical?
Honestly, phantom is overrated. It’s not terrible but it’s just….vanilla. The same guy made evita which is arguably much better.
“Afflek was the bomb in Phantoms, yo!”
Repo! The Genetic Opera
