i already knew that cops are bastards but i have to work with cops ocasionally because i am a first responder and so fucking many of them are dumb and absolutely terrible to work with even as a white not visibly trans emt.

i have had cops on scene for DV situations and had the cops flag entire crowds of people including ems, fire, police and civilians with their service weapons.

or be transporting someone being IVC’d where i am legally obligated to have the cop ride along with me and they werent even looking in the general direction of the pt who was supposedly dangerous enough i had to have police on board.
