Starting in November, an additional 2-euro fee will apply to parcels arriving from outside the European Union. The European Union is introducing this ‘handling fee’. It comes on top of the 3-euro Belgian import fee—in effect since July—for parcels valued at less than 150 euros. Other changes taking effect next Sunday, 1 November, include lower energy costs for energy-intensive businesses and stricter penalties for repeat traffic offences.
