    Isn’t Motorola a chinese company?

    It’s hard - to me at least - to believe that Motorola is allowed to provide a device without backdoor(s). What’s the catch here?

        American is not better. Anybody remember Edward Snowden? I’m sure it’s only gotten worse since then.

          The US is far, far more of a threat than China even remotely is. That being said, I highly doubt the GOS devs would even consider any collaboration if a backdoor was ever a possibility.

              or any global north country, honestly, especially in the five eyes

              there’s not much one could do to anger the chinese government enough for them to risk sending agents to kidnap or kill a westerner

              all the US needs is a request to law enforcement
