Fobney Meadows, Reading, UK. This is a “female or immature” Marsh Harrier taken at quite a distance. Still, it’s my first photos of one, and only the second time of seeing one at all (and the first was a “That was a Marsh Harrier” from someone else in reference to a shadow passing over - so I’m delighted. All the more so in that Marsh Harrier’s published distribution doesn’t come close to Reading.
