Apple released the MacBook Neo last Wednesday, March 11. In the U.S., pricing starts at just $599 for the general public and an even lower $499 for college students.
Some people don’t want used or don’t want to spend time looking for used in good condition. Especially around that price point. Most people who are looking to get a laptop for their kid for highschool or college are just gonna go to a big box hardware store, and right now the Neo is probably the best buy at Best Buy.
Spec wise, yeah an older air is better. There’s just a little more friction and uncertainty in going that route.
