Why does so much new music sound the same? Why does a song feel almost worthless when you can stream every album ever recorded for the price of one CD? And... is software next?
Just my take but I feel thats when every avenue of music was finished. All rock had done by the mid 90s. Then when electronic got really saturated and modern dubstep came in in the 2010s (like, it got mainstream), that was pretty much the last unique “sound” that could be created. I dont think theres anything someone could show me that would truly blow my mind, something I actually hadn’t heard before. Ive heard it all (genre-wise).
Would have been so awesome to grow up in the 70s seeing all the great innovative music changes. Pretty much from 1990 onward it got less and less unique.
