He was a player fed with awards even when he didn’t need them. He scored some amazing goals and had an amazing career, but nothing more. Same goes for the egoistic Ronaldo.

You’re out of your mind. He has played like no one before him. It’s like you’ve never watched this sport.

He played amazing and scored some amazing goals, other than that he was fed like a pig even when he didn’t deserve it.

I honestly don’t understand your point. He earned the awards. He had a massively impactful career and that can be easily measured by looking at his individual statistics and team titles. He may be the best football player that has ever lived, so far.

I’m curious as to who you would consider a legend, because outside of a handful of players, Maradona, Pelé, Cruyff, etc., I don’t see any other who could have been at his level.

Some awards where giving because they liked him, not because he was the best player. For example, Lewandowski lost ballon d’or because of Messi.

They did feed the pig, even when he didn’t deserve it, accept it.

Proof of this? It surely looks like you are making shit up.

For example, Lewandowski lost ballon d’or because of Messi.

Alright, let’s say that this is true and that year, Lewandowski actually deserved the trophy. Messi would still have won seven Ballon D’Or, the most by any player in history. He’s also won two Copa America, one World Cup, an Olympic Gold, and dozens of trophies at club level, including four Champions League. He’s second on the World Cup top scorers table, second all time top scorer, and has the all time record for most assists.

There is no way he is not a legend.

But alright, who do you think would be a “legendary player” in recent years?
