I think more people just really want these kinds of stories to be real than actually believe this happened. I know that if I had some totally legal way to really fuck with those corporate fascists and the police and the only cost was an ugly wrap on my piece of shit car or van, I’d do it without skipping a beat.

I think for this to work, the pictures should be fewer and larger. And also include things like motorcycles and pedestrians for good measure.
Well, considering they’re primarily using RFID, there’s no paint that will help. Your tire pressure sensor is enough. The next generation of these “cameras” will just be a sensor on a stick.

But do you have a source on that? I kind of have doubts about whether TPMS sensors A) have a long enough range to make this feasible and B) are uniquely identifiable. How far away can TPMS sensors from a moving vehicle actually be detected? And do TPMS sensors broadcast some kind of ID number or other identifiable information that would distinguish them from the millions of other TPMS sensors on the same road?

Doubly happy now that my current car’s TPMS sensors are long dead. And now I’m planning to deliberately remove the sensors from any newer car I might get in the future.
