The Wildlife Conservation Society confirms a river otter has been spotted in the Bronx for the first time in a century.

I’m assuming this otter didn’t escape from the zoo or spontaneously appear. Where did it come from? How far is it from the nearest otter hot spot?

In terms of where otters live, is this otter creating suburbs or is this otter going all the way out to rural?
