Gundam 00 is my all time favorite anime, but the movie is really disappointing (TASM 2 levels of disappointing). But I often hear people say it’s “peak cinema”, just because it has good action, good music, and satisfying ending. However, they kinda ignore a lot of the movie’s issues: the weak pacing, lack of interactions between the Celestial Being and the reformed Earth Sphere Federation, the ELS having literally no personality, and killing of characters in an unsatisfying fashion. So… what’s your defense for this show? And don’t give me the “hype moments & aura” copout answer. Because that’s not enough to carry a movie.
