A Stanford hanno chiesto a un’AI addestrata sul DNA di inventare dei virus nuovi. Ne ha proposti 302, ne hanno stampati il codice genetico e messi in coltura con E. coli. Sedici hanno preso vita e infettato le cellule. Per ora attaccano solo batteri, ma il filtro che li tiene lontani dagli umani è nel dataset, e chi ha i dati può toglierlo.
