      That’s the one reason I’ve hesitated on blocking the entire instance. I don’t want to block the users as well.

        As a .world user I appreciate being able to be seen.

        I really should check out some other instances, even if I’m unlikely to switch anytime soon

          Giving a shout out to my instance. Mr. Manager is cool and you can see every instance. It’s fun watching the secret hexbears in the comments calling everyone a shitlib and spouting surprisingly high level political theory.

            Yeah, the two things I want out of an instance are downvotes and reasonable defederation policies. Seeing every instance sounds exhausting to me, but I may have to put up with it if I have to choose between that and not having downvotes

              The fringe ones are a lot less populated anyway, with .world being the biggest instance. I browse by subscribed only, so I see what I choose. Browsing by All on .today is exhausting, I’ll give you that.

              I think .zip only defederates from the most extreme instances, but I don’t know much more about it than that.
