I think saying drawn to hardship has an unintended implication that they choose to be trans. And therefore choose hardship. That’s who they are, not what they choose. That’s why it bristled for me.

It was more that they are going through hardship constantly due to their transness, and therefore might get bored with games that don’t offer a challenge, because being trans made them tough as shit, and resilient. 😅 If they weren’t already, of course.
