The top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, Rep. Jamie Raskin, launched an investigation Monday into whether the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein worked on behalf of foreign governments to influence President Donald Trump during his first term.

    In a letter addressed to acting Attorney General Todd Blanche; Trump’s nominee to be director of national intelligence, Jay Clayton; and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Raskin (D-Md.) said that files provided to the Judiciary Committee show “substantial evidence” that Epstein acted to advance the interests of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, advised the Russian government on its dealings with Trump, and worked as a consultant to former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak.

    Co-mingling some pretty well vetted research on Epstein and Maxwell with whatever bullshit MI6 media darling Christopher Steele has to say seems more like an attempt to discredit the allegations than

    The Steele dossier, at least according to Biden’s FBI, was unreliable and not useful for any US investigation.

    According to the May 2023 Durham report, “the FBI was not able to corroborate a single substantive allegation contained in the Steele Reports, despite protracted efforts to do so.”

    And the perpetual promise of the “Pee Tapes” more served as a titlating laugh line than an insight into any of Trump’s policies, foreign or domestic.

    Meanwhile, the lazer-like focus on the claim that both Epstein and Trump were foreign agents seems to have carved out an enormous blind spot to their domestic relations. American billionaire allies, from the Peter Thiel gang in Silicon Valley to Jaime Diamon’s inner circle, seem to keep falling under the radar of US politicians and major media outlets alike.
